Converting the universal case 1776 to type-3 required fitting the full flow apparatus in front of the type-3 shroud. First, I moved the shroud aways from the case a smidge with some washers:
Next, I used some 45 degree 3/8" NPT to AN-8 fittings thus.
So far so good. Sure hope it doesn't leak!
OK, last night I fit the fan up and discovered why those spacers (washers) are not such a good idea. It makes the fan rub on the shroud.
So, I took the spacers out and did some more trimming of the lower pump covers studs & nuts. Also needed to take down a bit of the webbing on the shroud to clear the pressure-relief side of the pump cover.
