This site was constructed as a memorial to the late Gene Berg. It is dedicated to the memorial cruise that is held once a year in memory of Gene and his many contributions to the VW performance industry. The cruise was the brainchild of Rick Zavala, DKP I, who after Gene's funeral and over dinner with Rick Mortensen and Don Bulitta suggested the idea.

| The Gene Berg Memorial National Cruise has become one of the most memorable events many of us have participated in. New friendships have been developed that will last a lifetime. Older VW owners and enthusiasts mingle with new ones. We all share a common bond with the cars we drive. A special camaraderie is something that develops and no situation or circumstance separates or deters us from our final destination. | Note: The use of the name Gene Berg is done with permission of Gene Berg Enterprise and is not for commercial purposes. The Gene Berg Memorial Cruise is a tribute to the late Gene Berg and is not part of the business known as Gene Berg Enterprise.
